The longstitch bookbinding technique, developed from the Coptic bookbinding stitch, was used heavily throughout medieval Europe, particularly in Germany. Learn this versatile bookbinding method, which uses a combination of chain stitch and longstitch to sew the sections of a book directly onto the cover material. Shared tools and supplies are provided.
This 1.5 hour program is suitable for teens and adults and is limited to the first 8 patrons.
