Join us for a special bookbinding class with guest conservationist Keala Richard! Formerly our Branch Manager, and now working as a conservation technician for Smithsonian Libraries, we are excited to have her here to teach us another bookbinding technique.
Quarter binding is a traditional binding method whereby the spine is covered in a different material to the front and back boards. Learn about the techniques and the history behind this method of bookbinding. Walk away with a quality book, and new knowledge on book binding. This 1.5 hour program is suitable for teens and adults and is limited to the first 10 patrons.
Program size is limited. RSVP is required. RSVP online for this event by selecting the RSVP function. Reservation period will close on May 3rd, while availability lasts. Please call the library (808-323-7585) or visit if reservation assistance is needed.
All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
