Join the North Kohala Book Club, outside on the lanai, to discuss Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro. Klara, an Artificial Friend, is intensely curious about the world around her and especially the people who walk by her store every day. After being purchased Klara finds herself thrust into a life more complicated than she imagined and becomes an integral part of plan she never agreed to. Through Klara, readers explore love, loss, and what it means to be human.
The North Kohala Book Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:00am to discuss a title chosen by the club’s members. For more information, contact North Kohala Library at 808-889-6655. Recommended for ages 18 and older.
