A bunch of bees

The first in what could be a series of 3 classes on beekeeping in Hawaii by the Big Island Beekeepers Association.

  • Honey – what it is, how it’s made, flavors & color
  • Bee behavior, bee biology, types of bees out there.
  • What is in a bee
  • What foods we eat that would not be here without bee
  • Different types/styles of hives
  • How to start beekeeping(hive location, amount of time to maintain, basic equipment).
