Basic Computer Classes

Computer classYou asked for in-person, digital-skills classes, and we listened. In the coming months, public libraries across the state will begin hosting a series of entry level classes.

These one-hour sessions conducted at each library will help our community members access and gain the skills they need to use the Internet for everyday living.

Topics include:

  • Computer basics
  • Connecting to and navigating the internet
  • Connecting with family and friends using email
  • Securing accounts and avoiding scams

The Hawaii State Public Library System is partnering with the State of Hawaii’s Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Workforce Development Division to provide these free courses. Funding was provided by a U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration grant.

In observance of the Independence Day holiday, all public libraries will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
