The Honokaa Public Library will reopen on Monday, July 8, 2024. The library was temporarily closed to replace the air conditioning system and install electrical upgrades.

Welcome to the Honokaa Public Library! Our small 3,040-sq. ft. plantation-style building was built in 1936 and opened on June 15, 1937. One treasure in our collection is a photocopy of the original ships’ logs that brought Portuguese immigrants to Hawaii Island. Our library is the only place in the community that rents DVDs!
