Library Book Club: Wendell Berry’s New Collected Poems

April 10, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

New Collected Poems by Wendell Berry book cover

April is National Poetry Month and to celebrate we are reading poems by the American author Wendell Berry. Any poems.  Wendell Berry is a writer of short stories and poetry as well as an essayist, and farmer committed to sustainable agriculture. The library has many of his books in our collection. New Collected Poems is one of those books but there are many others.

Our special guest for the evening is Susan Schultz.  Susan Schultz is a poet, educator at University of Hawaii Manoa and editor of the poetry journal TinFish Press. TinFish Press publishes experimental poetry from the Pacific Region.  Everyone is very welcome, even if you haven’t read any poems of Wendell Berry.  If you like poetry or are interested in learning a few things that will help you enjoy those poems you do read, please join us.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
