Ever wanted to learn how to speak like a pirate?!?! September 19 is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and in honor of this special (and fun!) holiday, Wahiawa Public Library librarians will be on hand to show patrons how to create their own Mango Languages account in order to learn how to speak pirate speak. For any patron with a library card, Mango Languages is a free language learning software, complete with listening, reading, and speaking activities. While one of the languages on offer is indeed Pirate language, there is a huge variety of languages you can choose from to learn! Once we help you set up an account, we’ll show you how to use the software to track your progress so you can continue learning on your own! Help with sign up will be available from 4pm to 8pm. Suitable for ages 13 and up.
Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 7 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
