Please join Aiea Public Library for a special Annie double feature to start off our LIBRARIES ROCK summer reading program! First, at 3:30 pm, we will show the old Annie, with Carol Burnett and Bernadette Peters. This movie was based on the musical Annie, which in turn was based on the comic strip, Little Orphan Annie. Description of the story is as follows from Movie Licensing, USA (www.movlic.com): John Huston’s adaptation of the Broadway musical about the plucky comic-strip orphan who dreams of finding a loving family while toiling in an institution run by a mean woman. It is 128 minutes long and is rated PG. Then at 5:30 pm, we will show the newest movie, Annie, featuring Jamie Foxx. Description of the story is as follows from Movie Licensing, USA (www.movlic.com): A New York City tycoon adopts a vivacious orphan as a PR stunt in his bid to become mayor, but the little girl becomes his saving grace by teaching him what’s truly important in life. This movie is rated PG and is 118 minutes long.
