Welcome to the Kaimuki Public Library! Designed by local architect Shoso Kagawa, our library opened on June 17, 1965. Our busy regional library opens 6 days a week and is one of only 3 public libraries open on Sundays. In 2015, our library celebrated its 50th Anniversary.
Bring one, bring all for this Special pre-Mother’s Day program! Helen Nakano, founder of Hanafuda Hawaiʻi will share the story of how she discovered the cultural significance of Hanafuda; a traditional Japanese card game. Following this, participants will be able to learn and play Hanafuda!
For those interested, Hanafuda packs will be available for purchase at the end of the program. Thank you to the Friends of Kaimukī Public Library for your assistance with this program.

The State Office of Elections, Voter Services Section will be presenting information about voting in the upcoming primary and general elections in Hawaii this year, including voting by mail and in person.
Eligible members of the public will have the opportunity to register to vote or update their voter registration with a Hawaii Driver License or Hawaii State ID.
