The Mokichi Okada Association of Hawaii was founded in 2009 to promote the personal philosophies of Mokichi Okada (1882-1955), which include holistic living, and synthesizing health, natural foods, arts, and culture. Members of the Mokichi Okada Association donate their time and talents to make flower arrangements for various libraries, and one of the members will teach program attendees how to create a simple flower arrangement to take home. This program is aimed at teens and tweens, sharing the art of Japanese flower arrangement.
Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the hosting library at least 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed. For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events.
