Come listen to scientist, Kylla Benes, from the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) read from a fun collection of aquatic science stories. Ms. Benes is part of a group of visiting researchers excited to reach out to young science enthusiasts while attending the ASLO conference that is taking place here in Honolulu.
The ASLO Storytellers Program enables scientists to visit and interact with local communities through the public library system during their annual conferences. It is a wonderful opportunity for scientists and community members to interact and exchange ideas.
ASLO is committed to engaging with the next generation of thinkers, teachers, and leaders by providing a chance for them to meet an aquatic scientist, learn a little bit about what ASLO does and why it matters. This program is geared toward a preschool aged audience.
Program schedule is subject to change. Please contact the library ten days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
