Book Launch for Pinay: Culture Bearers of the Filipino Diaspora

March 9, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Pinay: Culture Bearers of the Filipino Diaspora

Join us for a book launch of Pinay: Culture Bearers of the Filipino Diaspora, a publication of the Filipino Association of University Women.  The book is a collection of personal stories written by immigrant women from all age groups.  These stories and poems give insight into deeply held core values of the Filipino culture.  The book launch event, held in the First Floor Reading Room, will present a discussion panel moderated by editor Virgie Chattergy and opens the Baro at Habi: Visual Clues to Filipino Culture exhibit by artist Iris Viacrusis.

Program schedule is subject to change. Please notify the library at least ten (10) days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if other special accommodation is needed.
