November 17, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Please join us for a monthly discussion of fiction of all types!  New members are always welcome.  No registration necessary.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Language, Literature, and History Section.  If the library is observing a holiday closure on the third Thursday of the month, please contact the Language, Literature, and History Section to inquire about the date of that month’s meeting.

For the month of November, the group will be reading Making It Up by Penelope Lively. Hailed by critics as a benchmark in a career full of award-winning achievements, Making It Up is Penelope Lively’s exploration of the question, “What if…”  What if Lively hadn’t escaped from Egypt, her birthplace, at the outbreak of World War II?  What if she’d married someone else?  From a hillside in Italy to an archaeological dig, the author explores the stories that could have been hers, dancing between reality and imagination.
