The Kawela Community 500 Years Ago

Archaeologist Marshall Weisler will present findings on the ahupuaʻa of Kawela. Gleaned from years of study, topics of will include the area’s landscape and water resources, significant sites and subsistence practices in ancient times.

Weisler’s career spans over four decades, during which he worked throughout the Pacific and across Molokaʻi .

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
