In 1934, everything in Elsa’s life is in danger of withering in the heat or blowing away on the dusty wind. Elsa has few options: stay on her dying farm, the earth parched and crops failing, or take a chance going west, where there’s only hope for a better life. With choices like that, is it really a choice at all?
