In honor of Harry Potter’s birthday on July 31, Wahiawa Public Library will turn into Wahiawa Mugwick Library. We invite our patrons to celebrate with a day of games and fun activities for the family on Saturday, July 30. Guests will be encouraged to dress up in their Hogwarts’ house robes and can take pictures with library staff and volunteers who will also be in costume.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There will be a couple scheduled events throughout the day that require pre-registration due to limited space and staff. We apologize in advance that we may run out of space for Quidditch and trivia, though the scavenger hunt and movie will be open for all guests.
For anyone planning to attend, please read the following carefully:
*9:00am-10:00am: Reception. Take pictures with costumed staff and volunteers. Patrons may also register for the day’s events at this time if there are open spaces still available.
*10:00am-10:50am: Harry Potter Movie Trivia – Think you’re a Harry Potter expert? Sign up for this event to test your knowledge and speed against other Harry Potter enthusiasts. Winner will receive a prize (TBA). Limit 40 participants. *11:00am-11:55pm: Table Top Quidditch Tournament – It’s every Hogwarts’ student’s favorite game shrunk down to a tabletop. Compete in teams of three against other guests to see who is the ultimate tabletop Quidditch champion! Winning team will receive a small prize (TBA). Limit 8 teams of up to three. (Single children and teens will be placed into teams on arrival; siblings can be teamed together if they want.) Please register for this event by summoning the numbers 808-622-6345 on your Muggle phone or by visiting the non-restricted reference counter at your library.
