Play With Me is a series of parent-and-child interactive playgroups designed for infants and toddlers. Each session is an hour long, with infant-toddler specialists there to support and guide parents as they engage in activities with their child.
The playgroup utilizes recent research on the neuroscience behind child brain development and Ellen Galinsky’s book, ‘The Mind in the Making’. The Five Building Basics are:
‘Play With Me’ is scheduled once a month (typically, the fourth Thursday of each month), excluding June and July 2020.
Due to a holiday closure in honor of Prince Kūhiō on Thursday, March 26, ‘Play With Me’ will meet on Wednesday, March 25.
This program is brought to families at no charge through a collaboration between the Kailua-Kona Public Library, the Kona Family Literacy and Interaction Program, and Kona Elks Lodge 2616.
