In honor of our Black History in Hawai’i series and Black History Month, we will screen HARRIET (PG-13) in the Kahuku Cool Lab.

Directed by Kasi Lemmons, this recently released November 2019 film runs for 2 hours and 5 minutes and was produced by Perfect World Pictures, New Balloon, Stay Gold Features. It features Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom, Jr., Joe Alwyn, Clarke Peters and Vanessa Bell Calloway. Cynthia Erivo was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Actress category.
In conjunction, there will be an interactive display on Black History in Hawai’i.
