Learn about Hawaii Literacy

December 6, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Hawaii Literacy logo and young girl reading

Greater literacy builds stronger families and communities. 1 in 6 adults in the U.S. struggle with reading and writing. Please join us to learn more about the cyclical nature of low-literacy, the correlation between literacy level and crime, and how communities are improved by supporting literacy efforts. Learn how to access the many services available for adults at Hilo Library, CALC and Kona Literacy Center.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events
