Hawaiian hoary bats are the only true native terrestrial mammals in Hawaiʻi. Join University of Hawaiʻi bat biologist and researcher Corinna Pinzari as she reveals how recent research methods have led us to new discoveries about our elusive, but beautiful, bat species. Pinzari will discuss local bat biology, ecology and conservation. She will share innovative techniques local scientists use to study bats, including current genetic work that supports understanding bat populations across the state, and bats on Kauaʻi.
