Join Barry Wurst II, a University of Hawaii Maui College film instructor, as he explores the literary works of author Stephen King and the film adaptations that resulted. Wurst will emphasize key works, discuss the lesser known works of King and provide perspective on the contrast of his written works with the various Hollywood versions. Barry Wurst II grew up in Makawao and is the founder of the Hawaii Film Critics Society.
Stephen King is a prolific American author best known for his works of supernatural fiction, horror, suspense, science fiction, and fantasy. His books have sold more than 350 million copies. He has won numerous awards and many of his works have been made into movies.
