Astrobash! A NASA@My Library Space Celebration

July 13, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Earth with light

IT’S THE SUMMER OF SPACE!  Join us at an out-of-this-world event, as we celebrate 60 years of space exploration and mark the end of A Universe of Stories – the 2019 Summer Reading Program.

Meet everyone’s favorite Aunty Mimi and enjoy a spectacular science show, explore the amazing night sky in a mobile planetarium, experience “Story Time from Space” featuring astronauts reading books aloud from the International Space Station, learn how two observatories on Maunakea recently helped capture the first image of a black hole, view the sun through a solar telescope, get up close and personal with infrared cameras, create and observe your own galaxy or nebula, and stop by our space-themed face painting station!

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date.  We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations.

All programs are subject to change.  For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events
