This Microsoft Word Workshop is designed primarily for beginners. All participants are encouraged to bring their own device (laptop, tablet, etc…) to practice what’s covered in the workshop. This event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Arthur Goshtasby will lead the course. Goshtasby is a retired professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Wright State University in Ohio and holds degrees from the University of Tokyo Department of Electronics Engineering and Michigan State University Department of Computer Science.
The workshop will focus on key capabilities of Microsoft Word in creating various types of documents. Topics to be covered include line, paragraph, and page formatting, adding headers and footers, inserting images and tables, comparing documents, and saving a document in different formats. Time allowing, attaching pictures and documents to emails and opening pictures and documents attached to emails will be covered.
