How to Write Your Family Story

June 8, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

All families have a story: an interesting history that will die unless you undertake the research and writing of that story.

Learn how one family undertook the task and created a book that generations from now will read through and be able to trace their ancestry back to 3 brothers who emigrated from Japan and settled in Honolulu at the turn of the 20th century; stories of murder, war, financial boons and disasters, struggles and triumphs.

Allen Awaya did just that, join us and learn how.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change.
