Join us for our first memory café at a Dementia Friendly library. A memory café is a social gathering where individuals living with memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, early Alzheimer’s, or other dementias can gather socially. Caregivers, family and friends are welcome to participate as a “plus one.”
Activities will include a documentary viewing of the Apollo 11 space flight, followed with a talk story session about the moon landing, and closed with a make-n-take craft activity. Light refreshments will be provided.
Program size is limited to 24. RSVP required. Call the library by Friday, June 7, 2019 to register.
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events.
