For the Month of May, the HSL Book Group will discuss Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver.
Picked as a Best Book of 2018 by NPR, O Magazine, Newsweek, Christian Science Monitor, and the San Francisco Chronicle, Unsheltered is the story of two families, in two centuries, who live at the corner of Sixth and Plum in Vineland, New Jersey, navigating major cultural shifts and coming to realize that though the future is uncertain, shelter can be found in the bonds of family or friends.
The HSL Book Group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Language, Literature, and History Section. New members are always welcome. No registration necessary.
