Honolulu Theatre for Youth’s “Under the Blue”

Honolulu Theatre for Youth's Under the Blue actorsThe Honolulu Theatre for Youth (HTY) will present “Under the Blue,” a 40-minute children’s show at selected libraries on Oahu. The HTY actors had recently performed at libraries on Hawaii Island, Kauai, and Maui.

“Under the Blue” will allow keiki ages 3+ and their families to explore the aquatic wonderland through music, puppetry, and a lot of imagination! The show will feature topics about the environment, science, ocean life, and visual art.

The library performances are funded by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i. No reservations are required, but children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. Program schedule is subject to change.

In observance of the Statehood Day holiday, all public libraries will be closed on Friday, August 16, 2024.

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, all public libraries will be closed from Saturday to Monday, August 31 to September 2, 2024.
