About

Welcome to the Laupahoehoe Public and School Library! Designed by Richard S. Matsunaga and Associates, we opened in 1973 but earthquake damage closed us for nearly a year. We reopened in 1974 on the campus of the Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School. We are one of the few Hawaii Island libraries to offer a meeting room for public use.
